No one person can end the HIV epidemic in Texas. We need the synergy of people, organizations, and communities and it starts with YOU. We need everyone to contribute their unique voices, skills, resources, and talents.
Achieving Together started with around 100 partners to develop a plan and a movement. Now, we want every member of the HIV workforce in Texas to be aware of the plan, understand it, and know what their role in the work is. There are many ways, big and small, that you can help engage the HIV workforce and amplify the movement.
Here are some simple things that you do to can amplify the movement on your own:
- Subscribe to the Achieving Together (AT) website to receive information, community stories and best practices, and calls to action.
- Share blog posts within your network.
- Update your email signature to include AT website and logo.
- Use the hashtag #achievingtogethertx.
- Make a t-shirt with the AT logo.
- Add your name to the website Pledge.
- Follow AT on social media (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter) and share posts.
- Make a t-shirt with the AT logo.
Want to do something a little bigger? Great! You can:
- Create a short elevator pitch that you can use when talking to people about AT.
- Talk to people living with HIV and ask them about what matters to them.
- On key “HIV dates” (World AIDS Day, National Black HIV Awareness Day, National HIV Testing Day, etc.) send a letter to the editor of your local paper and include an overview of AT and where/ how to learn more.

- Examine your personal and professional networks and identify people who you can engage to build momentum.
